THE ROLE
The purpose of these posts is to ensure each individual person is
supported to live the life of their choosing within the context of
ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and HSE Policy New
Directions.
The post holders have responsibility for managing and co-ordinating
the identification, development, implementation, evaluation and review
of day service programmes for the men and women availing of
services.? In addition, the post holders will actively support and
ensure person centred plans, behavioural support plans and risk
assessments are developed, implemented and regularly reviewed in order
to ensure that each person in their area of responsibility can enjoy
as much independence as possible, make choices, participate in their
local community and enjoy meaningful friendships and relationships.
THE CANDIDATES:
EACH CANDIDATE MUST
* Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience,
etc
Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the
competition:
* Have an appropriate? 3rd level qualification at level 8 or above
on the Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) framework in Health,
RNID Nursing, Management or Education
OR
* Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses
& Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
(Bord Altranais agus Cn?imhseachais na h?ireann) or entitled
to be so registered.
AND
* For CNM1 grade have at least 3 years post registration fulltime
experience (or an aggregate of 3 years post registration full time
experience) of which 1 year post registration full time experience (or
an aggregate of 1 years post registration full time experience) must
be in the speciality or related area.
AND
* Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to
properly discharge the functions of the role.
AND
* Candidates must demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional
Development.
* EXPERIENCE
* Have a minimum of 5 years? experience of working at senior grade
with relevant management experience with adults with Intellectual
Disability / Autism / Challenging Behaviour
* Have previous experience of supporting people with dual diagnosis
and complex support needs
* Have experience of setting up and maintaining effective
administrative systems that support the efficient and effective
operation of services.
* Candidates must BE available to work some afternoons/evenings and
some weekends as required.
* DRIVING
Have a full driving licence with means of transport which qualifies
you to drive on Irish roads.
* ANNUAL REGISTRATION ? CNM1 APPLICANTS ONLY
* On appointment, Practitioners must maintain live annual
registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and
Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
(Bord Altranais agus Cn?imhseachais na h?ireann).
AND
* Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the Brothers of Charity
Services Ireland ? Southern Region by way of the annual Patient
Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).

Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully
competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office
and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable
prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service
* CHARACTER
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be of good
character.
